Spellcheck is Evil...

...especially when you're typing on an iPad. It's just hard to type on those anyway.

This blog post isn't about me, but it's about one of my friends. Recently (well, back in December when I wrote this post), she had her tonsils out and just had hours and hours of nothing to do.

Thus we talked a lot!

And when you're on strong pain meds, typing on an iPad with spell check, AND it's late at night... the conversation can get interesting. :D

So, for your reading pleasure, I bring you...

Great Moments with Andrea.

A: So I ahead to to eat err rid of Hagen

My 11th First Rehearsal

Tonight... in fact, in less than half an hour... starts the first rehearsal of Godspell Jr, my 11th show with Journey.

Schoolhouse Rock, Live!
Disney's Mulan Jr.
Charlotte's Web
The Jungle Book
Seussical Jr.
A Year with Frog and Toad TYA
Anne of Green Gables
SNOOPY!!!
The Legend of Pocahontas
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer TYA

And now Godspell Jr. gets added to the list!

Godspell is a musical version of the gospel according to Matthew. There was a movie made of the full version a while ago. Did you see it?

If you did... I'm sorry.

Erase that from your memory! Our show is nothing like that! We're setting it in Portland so we'll be dressed like ourselves, acting like ourselves, and bringing the story of Jesus to life in our hometown.

I'm really looking forward to working on this show. It reminds me a lot of Schoolhouse Rock... the music is similar and everyone will be on stage practically the whole time! We'll transition from singing and dancing to acting out some of the parables that Jesus told. Then it's back to dancing!

Oh yeah, and did I mention?

EMMA AND I GET TO ACT TOGETHER.

You know. Just a tad excited here.

For the first time in forever (yes, Frozen reference) Emma and I get to act together on stage. It seems SO unlikely that in all 10 shows we've done, we've barely even stood next to each other on stage.

Ask us! It's true!

Sometimes we've forgotten that the other is there at rehearsal too because we've never shared the same little experiences.

Until this show. We have a song together. A WHOLE SONG!!!! Just us!!

"So? It's just one song though..."

No, you don't get it. This is so OUR song. It's slow at one part but then really quick and word at another. And it requires really good diction and lots of energy, things we LIVE for!!

I mean, rehearsals haven't even started yet and we've practiced the song 20 times almost every day since the cast list came out.

So yes, this show will rock in SO many ways. Not only do we get to bring the story of Jesus to life on stage...

We get to do it together.
