Shut up... :)
So maybe I haven't posted in... more than a month. I've been busy, ok?! Life just picked up and I didn't have time to write a blog post... and every time I thought about it I could never come up a topic to write about.
Actually... I still can't.
Well I mean, stuff has happened! Lots of stuff! But I don't necessarily want to write about it allllll.... how about I just give you a quick over view and just the stuff that'll interest you?
[side note.... a chicken is yelling at me from outside of my window.... wow.]

Cinderella
Cinderella may have been the best show I have ever done! Not only was it the biggest cast wise, but it had an insane amount of harmonies and dancing, two things that I love. For the leads, it was packed full of emotion. Let's just say that every time we ran the trial scene, someone was in tears. Once we moved into the theater, the sets and costumes and everything made the whole production 100% times better, and it was already great!
A lot of you already know this... but Cinderella was my last show with Journey Theater Arts Group (JTAG) before I aged out as a student. Because of that... I tried to forget that depressing little fact and be as happy as I could the entire term! Sure, it had it's ups and down, but this was one of the best terms at Journey for me ever. I made some new friends and strengthened lots of old friendships, I sang and danced a lot and got to act like a fool on stage (which I thoroughly enjoyed), show week was a blast, and we had sold out shows all weekend!
Even closing day was better than I could have hoped for... sure, I started to lose it in the
blackout before bows. Sure, I really did lose it after the curtain closed for the last time. But my friends were there supporting me and we hugged it out before heading to meet and greet. The rest of the day was a blaaaast! During meet and greet we all posed for probably ten billion pictures, then it was off to strike party! We celebrated, we ate, we danced, we sang... and I was honored with the Rose Award at the end :)
School
Of course, with the end of Journey also comes the end of school... and sure, maybe those should be listed in the opposite order, but whatever! Tomorrow, June 13, I graduated from Lindley Academy. Or homeschool, which ever you prefer. We're not doing anything extremely special to celebrate... in fact, my mom's going to a book sale and I might have callbacks. But still, we picked tomorrow as the date! Which means... I got to design my diploma this week!
No, you didn't misread that. I made my diploma. We didn't order it from some random place.
I pulled out my mom's old high school diploma and designed mine based around the layout of that. I changed the names, switched up the wording, ironically kept the same date... and I gotta say it looks pretty good! Watch Facebook tomorrow for a picture of me, my personally designed diploma, and a graduation hat with a very special tassel! :)
Are you going to college this fall? Yes, of course! Where are you going? PCC, thank you for asking! No, it's not just general ed. Yes, they actually have degrees there! Surprising right?
Ok, enough sass... Yes I'm going to PCC in the fall to start in on a 2 year degree in Visual Communications. Video stuff.... that's my official description of it. Some of my classes will be at the Rock Creek campus but most of them are out at the Cascade campus.
Yeah... the campus near NE Portland... with all the shooting. It'll be grand!
Life
Let's see, what else has happened in my life that I want to tell you about... I finished watching Doctor Who! Well really I still have the Day of the Doctor left and I want to watch the Time of the Doctor again, but still, I'm right there!! :D
I got called to be an extra on an episode of that new show filming in Portland; the Librarians! It was a six day shoot and I said I was available but they haven't gotten back to me yet... and we're supposed to film tomorrow. It probably won't happen, but it was still exciting to be called.
Shrek auditions are tonight... I'm kinda nervous; afraid I haven't prepared enough. But there's nothing else I can do, so what happens will happen! This show is with Journey Summer Theater (JST). It's the summer version of Journey where adults can audition and perform too! This term a lot of people from Journey Beaverton are auditioning... including a few parents! The last set of auditions are tonight, tomorrow are general dance callbacks, and then Saturday they do reads and singing for the leads.
I most likely won't get a Saturday callback, whish is good because I'm going to Oaks Park :) ^_^
~~
So anyway, you're probably tired of reading about my life now. Just know that it's going GREAT and I'm so excited for this summer!! :)
