It's Been... How Long?

Yes, I realize that I haven't written a blog post in a while. And yes, I also realize that you don't really care.

But I care, so here's a post.

First, you should know that I just got my mind BLOWN AWAY by Doctor Who (season 6, episodes 5-8 to be exact) and I almost can't get over that. River Song, time paradoxes... I tried to explain it to Emma and I think she got it, but I'll be writing a whole other post about that amazing feat of TV writing.

So yes, this IS just more of a filler post, but I am so pumped up on adrenaline I have to do something before I start explain time paradoxes to the cat...

SO. What's been happening in my life since the last post I wrote, which was about... wow. The Olympics. Alright then! We have a lot to cover.

First of all, Godspell Jr! The show run was really good, even though I felt stressed in the middle of the week due to the world's most ill-timed cold.

I mean... really.

That thing made me SO exhausted, I slept almost 12 hours every night the whole week. I made it through show week though and I ended up winning the Spark Plug Award!! That's an award give to an actor that gave a ton of energy and really sparkled on stage! See, I was so afraid that the cold took so much of my energy and I was just going to be a slug on stage, so I pushed myself so I worked even harder to give the same energy to the scene as usual. I thought that would bring me back up to my usual quality of acting and energy, but apparently I went way beyond it! I guess now I know the secret to on how to bring more energy to the stage.

You always have more energy to give, even if you have a rotten cold.

Ok, next story. Hmmmmm... Director's Event! For the directors event this term, we went on a kind of scavenger hunt around downtown Portland. We split into teams and hit a bunch of landmarks.. My team made it back first! (Even though some people say it wasn't a contest...) Then we all went to watch a taped performance of Godspell. It's always great funny to watch the show, and this time we had almost the entire cast there watching at the same time! We laughed, we cried, it was awesome :)

Next... showcase! Gee, these are all Journey related :) Showcase was fun! We arrived early to help set up chairs and such in the gym. I also set up my camera to record showcase so TREK could sell DVDs. Dum de dum, skip forward almost a day, and I'm editing the DVDs. Every time I have to listen to the comedy bits, I can't help but bust up laughing again! And all the Disney jokes.... Love it :D

Sorry, I just have to end this thing. If I don't start explain time paradoxes again, it's all going to slip out of my head and I'll have to figure it all out again...

Some things to look forward too!:

1) Next month is Camp NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), a spring version of the official month of writing in November. I'll be participating and finishing up the book I started November 2012 [Note: I already hit 50k words but the story isn't done yet. I want to add 25k more.

2) I'm auditioning for another show, Cinderella! April 4th, 4:30-6:30. Come watch if you like! It's loads of fun :)

3) There was something else, but I forgot...... Fun fact: My friend figured out how to straighten my hair. I've been trying for years (like seriously, six years) and I finally gave up. But now... it's almost as flat as my sister's.

Funny how that works... you try so hard to change something, finally give up and learn and learn to love it, then someone comes along and solves the problem for you.

Hm.
